Cedar & Mercy Records

Music Licensing

When You Need a License

Please request a license before using Cedar & Mercy Records music in:

  • film or television;
  • advertising;
  • online video beyond personal sharing of our official links;
  • podcasts;
  • video games;
  • any other commercial use; or
  • a sample, remix, adaptation, or new recording that uses part of one of our recordings or songs.

Permission is not automatic. Please wait for written approval before using the music.

Churches and Ministries

We want churches to be able to use our songs. Congregational performance and church streaming licenses are normally handled through a church’s own licensing provider.

Our songs are not registered with CCLI or any other church licensing service yet.

In the meantime, please write to us through the contact page so we can review the intended use and help identify what permission may be needed.

What to Include in a Request

To help us review a licensing request, please include:

  • the project name and a short description;
  • the Cedar & Mercy Records song you want to use;
  • how the song or recording will be used;
  • the media where the use will appear;
  • the territory where it will be distributed or available;
  • the requested term, or length of time for the use; and
  • the available budget.

Incomplete information may delay our response.

Personal Use That Does Not Need a License

You do not need a license to listen to our music for personal use, share links to our official releases, or add official releases to your personal playlists.

Downloading, copying, reposting, sampling, synchronizing, or otherwise using the music beyond those personal uses may require written permission.

How to Request a License

Send your request through our contact page and choose the category Licensing. We respond to licensing requests through the contact page process.
