Lantern & Wren
Lantern & Wren sings soft acoustic folk-country in a woman's voice, about the quiet places faith gets tested: a birthday card from a father who left, a year without singing, a row of jonquils where a house once stood, a cold snap of grief after spring has started. The sound is fingerpicked guitar, restrained fiddle and warm steel, with a slow lift to a full band.
Lantern & Wren is a studio project of Cedar & Mercy Records, not a touring act. The voices you hear are generated with AI; there is no singer or band behind the name. The lyrics are drafted with AI tools and reviewed and approved by a person, and every song is chosen by a person before it is released.

Blackberry Winter
When the dogwoods bloom and then it freezes, Mama called it blackberry winter: a song about grief coming back after spring has started, and the old saying that the cold is what sets the berry.
